STATEMENT OF FAITH

This page outlines our Doctrinal Statement of Faith. Please read through it carefully. It is what we believe and teach according to God’s Word.

We Believe in and Teach the Inerrancy of the Holy Scriptures:

  • The entire Bible is the perfect, divinely inspired Word of God. Psalm 19:7-82 Timothy 3:16-17

We Believe in and Teach the Lost Spiritual Condition of All Mankind:

  • All mankind is conceived (born) with a sinful, fallen nature. Romans 3:9-10,23
  • We are unable to save ourselves. Isaiah 64:6
  • In order to be accepted of God, we must all be born again spiritually through faith in Christ. John 3:3-7

We Believe in and Teach that Salvation Comes Only Through Faith in Jesus Christ:

  • Only the perfect, shed blood of Jesus Christ can serve as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Hebrews 9:24-28; Hebrews 10:4-221 Peter 1:18-21
  • Salvation is a free gift of God received only through faith in Christ and not by works. Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9
  • All those who repent of their sins and receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior will be saved. John 3:16-18; Romans 10:13

We Believe in and Teach that True Salvation is Always Evidenced by a New Life in Christ:

  • Every believer is a new creation in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:17
  • Fruit of the Spirit in us is the evidence of our salvation. Matthew 7:20-21; Galatians 5:22-26
  • Faith and godly living (good works) go hand-in-hand. Titus 3:8James 2:26

We Believe in and Teach the Diety of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ:

  • Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Holy Trinity. John 1:1-2
  • Jesus Christ is the creator of all things. John 1:3,10
  • Jesus Christ was conceived by and begotten of the Holy Spirit of God. Matthew 1:18
  • Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary. Luke 1:27
  • Jesus Christ is both true God and true man in His incarnation.
  • Jesus Christ died for our sins, was resurrected bodily from the dead by God the Father, and is ascended up into Heaven.
  • Jesus Christ is currently seated at the right hand of God the Father as the divine Advocate of every believer.

We Believe in and Teach the Divine Nature, Workings, and Gifts of the Holy Spirit:

  • The Holy Spirit of God is the third person of the Holy Trinity. 1 John 5:7
  • The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment according to God’s Word. John 16:8
  • The Holy Spirit regenerates and renews all lost sinners who receive Christ as Savior. Titus 3:5
  • The Holy Spirit indwells, enlightens, instructs, and guides every child of God (all believers). John 16:7-15
  • The Holy Spirit gives each person a different set of spiritual gifts to be used to serve the Lord together with others. 1 Corinthians 12:1-11

We Believe in and Teach the Doctrine of Biblical Separation:

  • As much as possible, believers should separate themselves from those who practice sinful behaviors. 1 John 1:1-7
  • Believers should not marry unbelievers. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

We Believe in and Teach Observance of the Divine Ordinances of Water Baptism and Partaking of the Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) for Believers in Christ:

  • Water baptism is a physical representation of the believer’s spiritual regeneration.
  • Communion is offered to every believer as a remembrance of the broken body and shed blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who was offered for our sins. Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29

We Believe in and Teach the Rapture of the Church (Believers in Christ):

  • Christ Himself will return for His church at the sound of the last trumpet. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18

We Believe in and Teach that Satan (the Devil) and the Powers of Darkness are the Powerful Enemy of Every Believer:

  • Satan is a fallen spiritual being (Lucifer) who was created by God.
  • Satan’s goal is to be like God.
  • Satan is the father of lies.
  • Satan is known as the god of this present, evil world.
  • Satan is the leader of a demonic spiritual army known as the powers of darkness.
  • Satan is the great enticer and deceiver.
  • Satan’s end (as well as his followers) will be the Lake of Fire. Revelation 20:10,15

We Believe in and Teach a Literal Heaven and Hell:

  • Heaven is an actual place of perfection and eternal happiness where God resides that exists somewhere above and beyond the earth.
  • Hell is an actual place of torment that exists somewhere below the earth’s surface.
